11/20/2020

Hurricane Season 2020 just won’t quit. We still have a couple weeks to go. But even now, before the season is over, there are already new records. 2020 has already had the most named storms ever recorded. devastated Central America and has left few coastal areas in the eastern U.S. untouched. As of October 7, there have been 16 climate-driven disasters that caused at least $1 billion in damage.
As you have without a doubt seen on the news and social media, Tropical Storm Eta recently made landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast, bringing with it tropical storm warnings for both Florida and Georgia. Due to rains earlier in November, some streets stretching from Miami to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach experienced flooding, and damages!

So, what type of storm and hurricane damages could I consider claiming for?
Damages such as:
  • Parts of your roof ripped off
  • Water damage to ceilings
  • Roof leaks, broken fences
  • Damaged gutters and sidings
  • Roof shingles that were blown off or that are missing
  • Broken windows
  • Mobile homes that were damaged or overturned
  • Homes that were shifted off their foundations
